Three Gameweeks In: The GW3 Update

Three gameweeks into the season, IceCore Dynasty has its first standout performances, updated player-value projections and a new Co-Commissioner.

Three gameweeks are now in the books, and IceCore Dynasty is beginning to take shape on the ice as well as off it.

With the first weeks of competition behind us, we have some early standout performances, a clearer picture of which players are outperforming expectations, and an updated Value Board to help General Managers plan ahead. There are also a couple of league updates to share.

League Updates: A New Co-Commissioner and Trade Vetoes

For anyone who may have missed the discussion on Reddit, Murad has joined IceCore as our new Co-Commissioner.

We have also introduced a new trade-veto system. From now on, a trade requires seven GM veto votes to be blocked. The aim is to give General Managers a greater role in trade oversight while keeping the process straightforward.

The Tkachuk Brothers Set the Pace

The standout individual performances of GW3 came from the Tkachuk brothers.

Matthew Tkachuk scored 104 points, while Brady Tkachuk reached 121 points, setting a new league record for the time being.

Player Form: Who Is Outperforming Expectations?

We have compared players’ current ranks with their pre-season ranks to see what percentage of each franchise’s roster is currently performing above expectations.

These figures offer an early snapshot of how each roster is developing. They do not tell the whole story of a team’s season, but they provide a useful way to compare player performance across the league.

West Division

Team Players Above Expectations
Victoria Cedars 70.0%
Kelowna Vintners 66.7%
Amarillo Downburst 54.5%
Salem Ravens 47.6%
Honolulu Guardians 45.5%

East Division

Team Players Above Expectations
Richmond Union 71.4%
Hartford Arsenal 69.6%
Halifax Privateers 54.5%
Quebec City Citadels 43.5%
Cleveland Forge 40.9%

Central Division

Saskatoon Prairie Drifters 50.0%
Memphis Riffs 50.0%
Omaha Bison 43.5%

South Division

Team Players Above Expectations
New Orleans Soul 54.5%
Roswell Greys 52.4%
Houston Signals 52.2%
Key West Rumrunners 52.2%
Charlotte Amalie Corsairs 45.0%

Across the league, Richmond Union leads the table at 71.4%, followed by Victoria Cedars at 70.0% and Hartford Arsenal at 69.6%. Green Bay Alliance currently has the lowest share, at 33.3%.

These rankings will change as the season progresses, so this is an early reference point rather than a final verdict on any franchise.

Value Board Updated: A First Look at Salary Growth

The IceCore Dynasty Value Board has been updated to show how salary bonuses would look if the season ended after GW3.

The board gives GMs an early indication of potential salary increases based on player value. It can help with salary-cap planning and keeper decisions, particularly when assessing which contracts could become more expensive as the season develops.

The figures are provisional and may contain errors. The board will be updated periodically, and the final table will go through a two-step verification process. For now, it should be treated as a planning tool, not a final salary calculation.

Looking Ahead

Three gameweeks provide the first useful data points, but there is still a long season ahead. Player rankings, roster performance and projected salary changes will continue to evolve.

For now, the main takeaways are clear: Murad has joined the league’s leadership team, the trade-veto process has been updated, the Tkachuk brothers have delivered the week’s headline performances, and the Value Board is available for GMs to review.

We will continue tracking league developments and updating the relevant information as the season progresses.
